The latest James Bond film Quantum of Solace exploded at the U.K. box office setting the highest opening day sales record by raking in $7.9 million! The Daniel Craig starrer broke the record for a Friday release, which was previously held by 2005’s Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire which made $6.5 million on the day of its release.
The opening day earnings of Quantum of Solace is nearly twice that of the previous Bond adventure Casino Royale, which made $4.7 million in Britain on its first day.
