The Guinness Book of World Records 2009 edition has named Brad Pitt the Most Powerful Actor and his wife, Angelina Jolie, the Most Powerful Actress. They replace Tom Cruise and Jennifer Aniston, who held the titles in 2008. Winners are selected by the Guinness editors based on a combination of various factors including Internet searches, annual earnings, and news-media stories. Britney Spears, they have concluded, is the most-searched subject celebrity on the Internet over the past year.
