Finally, 'Ghost Rider' confesses. Nicholas Cage has reportedly said that he quit The Wrestler because he did not have time to get into “steroid-pumping shape” required for the role. Yes, we are talking about the role that has now become the comeback role for Mickey Rourke. Cage revealed he resigned from the project as he did not think that he could make himself into a “believable” Randy the 'Ram' Robinson featured in The Wrestler. The actor confessed to a TV show, “I resigned from the movie because I didn’t think I had enough time to achieve the look of the wrestler who was on steroids, which I would never do.” Generous as he is, Cage seemed to have suggested Rourke for the role as he truly believed that Rourke would make a greater Randy than him.
