The Departed, remake of Hong Kong crime flick Infernal Affairs won the Oscar for best film. After giving a hit movie, The Departed, Warner Bros has now acquired the rights for another Hong Kong movie Confession of Pain.
The film starring Cannes Tony Leung Chiu-wai and Takeshi Kaneshiro revolves around the story of a Hong Kong police officer who in order to take the revenge of the murder of his family, marries the killer's daughter and earns his trust.
The remake of Confession of Pain will be written by William Monahan who penned the script for The Departed and won the Oscar for the screenplay.
