Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight crossed the $500 million mark at the US box office this weekend, becoming the second movie to do so in Hollywood history, the first being James Cameron’s heartbreaker Titanic.
The Dark Knight, starring Christian Bale and Heath Ledger, has taken just six weeks to reach the half-billion figure, which is half the time it took Titanic, which remains the only film to have made more at the U.S. domestic box office. With the way things are going, Christopher Nolan’s blockbuster will break the record in record time!
