Being gay is no more too much of a taboo in the Western hemisphere and recently a leading magazine came out with a list of Gay Men and Women rating them as the most influential gay folks in the US!
Topping this list is Ellen DeGeneres, a TV talk show host who gained popularity through her sitcoms Ellen and The Ellen Show. It was in 1997 that Ellen went public with her sexuality and has since then, has been urging gay folks to come out with the truth as well, that it’s okay to be different while also urging the public to be grown up about the whole thing! Currently, Ellen is dating Portia DeRossi of Ally McBeal fame.
Also featuring on the list were Jodie Foster and online Hollywood Gossip Blogger Perez Hilton [whose real name is Mario Lavendeira].
