Gurindher Chadha confirmed that she has signed a deal with 20th Century Fox to direct the big screen version of the TV soap Dallas with John Travolta and Jennifer Lopez as her leading stars. The Bend It Like Beckham director said the shooting will start in Florida in October. Travolta will play oil tycoon J.R. Ewing in the movie, while Lopez will portray his long-suffering wife Sue Ellen. The roles were originally performed by Larry Hagman and Linda Gray.
