Coming from Marc Forster, director of gentle moving stories such as Kite Runner and Finding Neverland, the level of violence and danger in Quantum of Solace is quite surprising!
Here’s a sample of just how much risk was involved in the making of this movie:
One driver is still in hospital and recovering from head injuries following a crash into the sides of a hill while filming the opening cliff-top chase in Italy. Another driver had a close call when his car skidded off the cliff and into the lake while shooting the same chase sequence.
Hero Daniel Craig also sustained several injuries during the making of the movie which includes a cut on his face that needed eight sutures. He also had the top of a finger sliced off and was once caught by the paparazzi with a black eye! It’s no wonder the actor thinks he might need plastic surgery pretty soon, if he’s to keep playing Agent 007!
Daniel seems to have truly put his life at stake for this project!
