Diane Leatherman was arrested in March and charged with one felony count of stalking actor John Cusack. She was caught by the police while she was wandering around the premises of John’s California home.
The attorney appointed to represent Diane was Brent Merrit, and right from the very beginning, the two did not hit it off. Diane was supposed to accept a deal with a Los Angeles court which would have seen her avoid prison, but it collapsed after she accused her attorney of using scare tactics to get her to agree to the deal. Diane will now stand trial and if convicted, face three years in prison .
