Kylie Minogue is set to perform before 2000 VIP guests at the opening of the Atlantis Hotel in Dubai in November, but British intelligence think it might not be a safe show.
It is feared that the venue could be a target for Al-Qaeda because it is seen by Islamist extremists as a symbol of decadence. The hotel is built on Palm Jumeirah -- a complex of man-made isles off the Dubai coast where footballers, including David Beckham, own homes. The British Intelligence is investigating claims that the group plans to bomb the hotel. A fresh security alert has been ordered in the United Arab Emirates and the British Foreign Office has set its threat warning for the area at 'high'.
