In 2005, when Madonna and Guy Ritchie were happily married, they had artist Peter Howson, popular for his paintings of nude celebrities, paint their picture in their birthday suits. When the painting was unveiled then, the featured nude models were quite proud of what they saw, but now that they have been through a rather ugly divorce the painting is something they would not want to talk about. But Peter believes their nasty split has increased the value of the painting and has arranged for it to be auctioned by McTear’s auction house in Glasgow. Brian Clements from the auctioneers is pretty sure that the painting would fetch good money, somewhere around 22,000 pounds.
