The sixteenth annual MTV Movie Awards were aired live for the first time to American audiences. The 2007 MTV Movie Awards were hosted by Sarah Silverman and directed by Mark Burnett. The audiences were thrilled with the superb performances by Rihanna, featuring Jay-Z and Amy Winehouse.
The pre-recorded movie parodies included The Devil Wears Prada, Tranformers and 300. Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest walked away the best movie award and also won the best performance award for Johnny Depp.
The best comedian award was given to Sacha Baron Cohen for his role in Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakshtan. He, alongwith Will Ferrel, took away the best kiss award for the movie Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby. Jack Nicholson was judged the best villian for his role in The Departed.
