One more award was bestowed on Oscar winner A.R. Rahman. He has just won the best music director award for Jodhaa Akbar at the IIFA awards 2009. For Rahman, who is already on a winning streak, this prestigious award adds yet another feather on his cap. Jodhaa Akbar was directed by Ashutosh Gowarikar and was well received by the audience.
The legendary music composer could not attend the awards function as he was held up in the US due to his professional commitments.
Rahman has just signed up for his first Hollywood film titled Couples Retreat, and is said to be busy with that. Expectations are at their highest and everyone is waiting for his next album to release.
By end of the year, according to sources, at least three more albums of the maestro should be released.
