Sharon Stone is having quite a tough time disentangling herself from the trouble her quick tongue has created. Earlier this year at the Cannes Film Festival, Sharon said the earthquake at China was the bad karma of teh Chinese owing to the way they treat Tibetan refugees. Her statement infuriated the Chinese government, and they threatened to ban her films from releasing in their country. The actress was immediate in responding with an apology. And all seemed well.
But it turns out that a New York lawyer, Ming Hai, is not satisfied. He has got more than 1,000 survivors and victims' relatives to serve Sharon with legal documents and demand a further apology. "For the families who have lost their loved ones or lost limbs or suffered severe injuries, your statement and act has caused extreme emotional distress," the attorney said. And now Sharon is facing a $1 billion lawsuit.
