Four action scenes for the film, The Dark Knight, including the introduction of the Joker will be shot in IMAX format. Filmmaker Christopher Nolan feels that this is the format of the future for action cinema.
The sequel to the 2005 Batman Begins movie will have Christian Bale returning as Batman and Heath Ledger as the Joker. The movie, to be distributed by Warner Bros. is slated for release in July, next year.
