Christian Bale is in negotiations to star in the upcoming movie 3:10 to Yuma. Relativity Media would be financing the movie.
Bale would star opposite Russell Crowe. While Bale will play the role of a rancher, Crowe will be playing the role of Ben Wade. It is being directed by James Mangold. It is based on the 1957 film with the same name. An outlaw leader Ben Wade is captured in a small town. His rancher secretly tries to take Wade to a railway station to catch a train to Yuma for his court date. The secret is out and a battle of guns starts.
Filming is on track for a fall 2006 shoot.
