During an interview with MTV to promote his upcoming dance drama Take the Lead, actor Antonio Banderas mentioned that he's to start voice-recording for Shrek 3 this week. Shrek 3 is scheduled for a May 2007 release date.
From MTV : “Tomorrow I'm going to do my first session of recording for puss... The story and the recording of the Shrek is very open. We improvise a lot, and many new things come during every session, and then they take all of that material and put it together with the animation. It was this experimental, throw-everything-at-the-wall process that resulted in some of the best Puss moments in Shrek 2. “
