According to reports, Disney is planning to make a film based on the Broadway musical Aida by Elton John. The musical was the story of a Nubian princess. The latest buzz is that Beyonce Knowles is being roped in to play the title role.
Beyonce Knowles is a famous R&B singer, songwriter, record producer, actress, dancer, fashion designer and model. She started her career in acting with the MTV made-for-television film, Carmen: A Hip Hopera. Her latest film was Dreamgirls, the film adaptation of the hit 1981 Broadway musical about a 1960s singing group. She was nominated for two Golden Globe Awards for this film, Best Actress in Motion Picture Musical or Comedy and Best Original Song.
