The Hollywood star Duchovny has plans to come back to the small screen and he will be playing the character of a father struggling in the battle against addiction to drugs and sex.
He will also be the executive producer for the network, which has not yet been named.
In case the project reaches the audience and gets their approval, this will be the Duchovny's next successful TV show after The X-Files, which was wrapped up in 2000.
The star is also acting in a second project with Showtime, a comedy series titled Yoga Man.
