Cache wins best film award at European Film Awards

Michael Haneke directed Cache, also known as Hidden won three awards in the European Film Awards function. Apart from Best Direction, it also grabbed the awards for best actor and best film at the function held at Berlin. The film by the Austrian born director traces the story of Georges who receives videos of himself with his family - shot secretly from the street. A sense of menace creeps his mind. The film vividly describes France’s repression of memories of the colonial war in Algeria. Sean Connery was awarded the Life time achievement award in the function.
