Buena Vista’s action drama, The Guardian, took the second spot with an estimated of $17.7 million. The movie casts Kevin Costner and Kutcher.
Paramount Pictures’ Jackass Number Two that topped the box office last week dropped to third place with an estimated $14 million. The new comedy School for Scoundrels starring Billy Bob Thornton and Jon Heder placed fourth with an estimated $9.1 million. Directed by Todd Phillips, the comedy was distributed by MGM for The Weinstein Company. Jet Li’s final martial arts epic, Fearless grossed an estimated $17.8 million and was placed at fifth place.
